Historic MOU Signed with JNU

On Thursday, 06 July 2023 marked as watershed event as Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management (an Autonomous Body Under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India) signed a landmark MoU with the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (A Public University, New Delhi).

The MoU was signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor Jawaharlal Nehru University, Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit and Director Of IITTM Prof. Alok Sharma in New Delhi.

The MoU is towards recognition of IITTM's a flagship UG, PG Degree and PhD programs in Travel & Tourism domain by JNU from 2023-24 academic year.

With the singing of MoU the forth coming students of IITTM will be awarded the degree of JNU.

Speaking on the occasion vice chancellor of Prof. Jawaharlal Nehru University Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit said “We our very happy and enrich ourselves that we have moved in the area of Travel & Tourism which is new subject of JNU also and we our very proud to we avail to work with Ministry of Culture and Tourism as well as different institutes all over India”.

National Tourism Quiz

The Institute began the practice made a beginning by organising a national level Quiz Competetion annually since 2001.The objective of this event is to bring togeher the students pursuing education in Travel and Tourism Programme from across the country on a single platform to foster healthy interaction . Various competitions and social activities are under taken every year on 27th September to commemorate the World Tourism Day. The basic motive is to create/endow awareness that tourism is vital to regional, national and international community and to show how it influences the social, cultural, political and economic systems worldwide.

Annual function

The annual day celebration of the institute is organized every year .As apart of this, many other management institutions are invited to participate in the various items .Co-curricular activities like Quizzes, Group, Solo, Folk & Classical Dances & Songs, Just a Minute, Rangoli, debate to name a few are among the other items organized during the function .
